Comparison of Click-iT® Plus TUNEL assay with competitor assays

HeLa cells were transduced with CellLight® Mitochondria-RFP, BacMam 2.0 (red) and treated with DNase to induce TUNEL-positive DNA strand breaks. The DNA-damaged cells were treated with either the Roche In Situ Cell Death Detection Kit, Fluorescein; Life Technologies™ Click-iT® Plus TUNEL assay with Alexa Fluor® 488; or Promega DeadEnd™ Fluorometric TUNEL System (green). After the TUNEL reaction, actin filaments were stained with phalloidin conjugated with Alexa Fluor® 647 dye (purple).
