The lab tour of the Arizona LaserChron Center that supports geochronologic research and served as a demo lab for researchers to experiment with Thermo Fisher ICP mass spectrometers.
Highlights included demonstrations of (1) high-precision isotope ratio measurements with the Thermo Scientific Neoma, and (2) mapping/imaging capabilities of Thermo Scientific Element2 and Thermo Scientific iCap Mass Spectrometers, which were connected to a Thermo Scientific Teledyne Iridia excimer laser system).
