Dr. Zengru Wu of Quest Diagnostics will present a high throughput top-down approach to quantitate IGF-1 in clinical reference laboratory using high-resolution mass spectrometry coupled with multi-channel HPLC with on-line extraction. Multiple IGF-1 variants were simultaneously monitored during routine clinical testing and a serious of new variations were detected. The novel knowledge of IGF-1 variants will provide further insight to the physician in understanding growth disorders.

Dr. Zengru Wu, Sr. Scientific Director, Quest Diagnostic

Dr. Zengru Wu currently services as the Senior Scientific Director of Mass Spectrometry and Clinical Chemistry at Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute overseeing the operation of endocrinology departments. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Clinical Chemistry, California Clinical Chemist and New York Certificate of Qualification Holder in clinical chemistry and endocrinology. Zengru received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Peking University, Beijing, China, following a postdoctoral fellowship in the Division of Pharmaceutics at Ohio State University.
