Understand the behavior of your electrode slurries

Proper mixing and homogenous coating processes are essential for achieving batteries with a high capacity and high number of charging cycles.

A rotational rheometer delivers viscosity measurements over a wide range of shear rates providing valuable information needed to get the complete picture.

By watching this webinar, you learn:

  • Benefits of a rotational rheometer for quality control over single-point measurements (rotational viscometer)
  • The wide range of shear conditions electrode slurries experience during the process workflow
  • Absolute rheological measurements will
    • Verify the proper mixing and homogeneous distribution of active components
    • Predict storage behavior and stability of the electrode slurries
    • Model conditions that will affect electrode slurry behavior during the coating process

On-demand webinar: Rotational Rheometry in Battery Manufacturing and Research
Duration: 13 minutes

Speaker: Annika Völp, Process Application Specialist, Thermo Fisher Scientific

Annika Völp, Dr.-Ing is an Application Specialist with Thermo Fisher Scientific focusing on the extrusion of polymers and twin-screw compounding of battery materials. Annika received her Dr. -Ing from the Institute for Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Germany. During her Ph.D. studies, she investigated the structure and rheology of foams. Annika also has a degree in Bioengineering from KIT.
