These software downloads are for the CTS DynaCellect Magnetic Separation System (Catalog numbers: A55867 and A55868).

 

Software versions include all enhancements of previous releases in addition to the new features listed below. Updates will not in any way affect the performance of your CTS DynaCellect except for the specific changes outlined below. Links and release notes for all versions are included below. We recommend updating your system to the latest version for optimized performance.

Version features and changes

New features/changes with version 1.2.0

  1. New variable feature: The new "Variable" feature allows users to customize volumes before different runs using the same isolation protocol. This allows for greater adaptability to specific needs.
  2. Removal of bead calculator: The Bead Calculator feature has been removed from the Isolation protocol to help streamline the user experience.
  3. Removal of the “Export Role” screen: The "Export Role" screen at the end of the protocol run has been removed to enhance workflow efficiency.
  4. Export run reports in clinical mode: Users can now export run reports while operating in clinical mode. This provides greater flexibility and access to important data.
  5. Enhanced bubble sensor checks: The Bubble Sensor checks have been improved to support more accurate and reliable operation.

New features/changes with version 1.1.1

  1. Fixed the alignment of the display for the input field of the network drive
  2. Fixed the incorrect inheritance of the “Last Run” timestamp when a protocol is created from a template
  3. Added the ability to export a run report as a PDF file to the network drive
  4. Fixed an issue that causes some users to encounter an insufficient disk space error when the instrument is in idle mode
  5. Added additional information in the run report (step name, elapsed step timer, and paused step timer)
  6. Fixed an issue where aborting an active run with a paused step timer does not immediately reset the step timer when the next run is started

Downloading software file

  1. Download or transfer the firmware file (shown in .update format) onto a USB memory stick
  2. Ensure the firmware file is not in any folder on the USB memory stick

Updating your CTS DynaCellect instrument

  1. Power on the instrument and log in as an admin user.
  2. Insert the USB memory stick containing the firmware update into one of the USB ports in the CTS DynaCellect instrument.
  3. In the Menu screen, touch “Settings”.
  4. In the Settings screen, touch “Maintenance & service”.
  5. In the Maintenance & service screen, touch “Software update”.
  6. If you have downloaded the firmware properly, the instrument should list all the available update packages on the USB memory stick. Please select “DynaCellect-1.0.2 update”.
  7. Touch “Select” at the bottom right of the screen to confirm that you want to upgrade.
  8. Touch “Proceed” at the bottom right of the screen to proceed to upgrade.
  9. When the upgrade process is complete, the instrument will restart automatically. When it has rebooted, you can remove your USB memory stick.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that you do not turn off the instrument when the upgrade is in progress.
