Invitrogen
Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (85%), Rat (85%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-54889. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
CHMP4C belongs to the chromatin-modifying protein/charged multivesicular body protein (CHMP) family. These proteins are components of ESCRT-III (endosomal sorting complex required for transport III), a complex involved in degradation of surface receptor proteins and formation of endocytic multivesicular bodies (MVBs). Some CHMPs have both nuclear and cytoplasmic/vesicular distributions, and one such CHMP, CHMP1A, is required for both MVB formation and regulation of cell cycle progression.
