How to Use the Transform Editor
This tutorial introduces the concept of geometric transformation in Amira-Avizo and demonstrates data alignment with the Transform Editor.
This tutorial begins by presenting some general considerations about geometric transformations in Amira-Avizo. It then presents the Transform Editor, and demonstrates how to use it to perform a rough data alignment.
The dataset is not modified with the geometric transformation until the transformation is actually applied. This is done by using the Resample Transformed Image module.
The Transform Editor can be used to perform manual alignment of datasets. Only an approximate alignment is performed in this video, which is the first part of a two part series. In the second video, this approximate alignment is used as the initial step for automatic alignment with the Register Images module.
