Porosity in a Battery Separator

The recipe classifies the pores in a battery separator. It relies on a hysteresis thresholding that allows to propagate the threshold to pixels above the lower threshold if they are connected to pixels selected by the highest threshold. This procedure allows to threshold full porosities while avoiding noise.
