The Sanger Institute miRBase Sequence Database is a sequence data repository that includes precursor and mature miRNA sequences for miRNAs whose expression has been confirmed and published. In a continuing effort to provide researchers with powerful tools for miRNA studies, Applied Biosystems offers new TaqMan® MicroRNA Assays, and through Ambion, Anti-miR™ miRNA Inhibitors, and Pre-miR™ miRNA Precursors, to match the updated content of miRBase Sequence Database, Release 10.1.
Detect and Quantitate miRNA
TaqMan MicroRNA Assays quantitate miRNAs with the specificity and sensitivity of TaqMan assay chemistry. A simple, two-step protocol requires only reverse transcription with a miRNA-specific primer, followed by real-time PCR with TaqMan probes. These assays target only mature miRNAs, not their precursors, ensuring biologically relevant results.
miRNA Functional Studies
Ambion Pre-miR miRNA Precursor Libraries and Anti-miR miRNA Inhibitor Libraries address the needs of researchers seeking to upregulate and/or downregulate the levels of all known miRNAs to study endogenous or reporter gene regulation and phenotypic response. These collections of miRNA mimics and inhibitors enable rapid study of miRNA function and can be used to simplify identification of miRNAs that interact with a particular target transcript.
