Applications
The main uses of methylnaphthalene are as a raw material for dyestuff dispersants and heat transfer oils, and as a solvent for agricultural chemical. It has been used as an indicator of smoke exposure in food and packaging materials.

Solubility
Insoluble in water. Soluble in alcohol, chloroform, methanol.

Notes
Store away from oxidizing agents. Keep the container tightly closed and place it in a cool, dry and well ventilated condition.
