Accelerating Innovation in Allergy Diagnostics

Applications for the PrestIgE Award's $25,000 grant open on August 4, 2025.

**Applicants MUST be a current fellow participating in an active U.S. allergy fellowship training program.
**Applications MUST be endorsed by the Fellowship Program Director of the institution which will receive the grant payment.

One winner will be awarded $25,000 in grant funding in an effort to advance allergen diagnostics.

Applications are open August 4, 2025 - January 5, 2026.

What is the PrestIgE Award?

Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PrestIgE Award is an award program created to encourage U.S. allergy fellows to engage in molecular allergy diagnostic research activities, with an emphasis on allergen components.

What makes a winning candidate?

Applicants should have a history of relevant scholarship and/or research in allergy diagnosis and treatment. Strong candidates will also provide a specific proposal on how this grant’s funding will aid in the progression and understanding of allergen components and allergy diagnostics.

Materials needed in your application
 

  1. A completed PrestIgE Award application form.

  2. Your CV, including all relevant scholarship and publications (both original research and review works).

  3. A personal summary with 500 words or less explaining who you are and why you should receive the PrestIgE Award grant as well as highlights of your academic/research achievements.

  4. A description of the proposed research project the grant will sponsor. Include the following:

Introduction with background on the relevance of the proposed research

Estimated budget and budget allocation

Objectives, methods, timeline, and milestones

Potential references that may be used

Expected impact on the scientific/medical community and proposed deliverables (e.g. posters, abstracts, publications, etc.)

How to submit a PrestIgE application

After you’ve collected all the materials mentioned above, please organize them in a .zip file and email it to the PrestIgE Award committee by clicking the button below.
