Ozone (O₃)

Ozone, also known as trioxygen, is an inorganic molecule visible as a pale blue gas.  At high altitude, a layer of this gas provides protection against UV radiation from the sun.  Terrestrially, it is used as a powerful industrial oxidant and, even at very low concentrations, is harmful to animals and humans.
