使用 ImmunoCAP™ 特異性 IgG 檢測來判定人體血清或血漿中的循環血中特異抗原 IgG 抗體。1 這些抗體為身體天然防禦系統的一部分，且會在接觸到外來物質時生成以作為反應。ImmunoCAP 產品套組提供常見環境過敏原/抗原之檢測，其可能造成過度的免疫反應，2例如細菌、黴菌、動物、植物和化學物質。3

過敏疾病
在過敏疾病中，以下為特異性 IgG 檢測結果如何被應用到的一些範例：
- 於氣喘、鼻炎、蕁麻疹、濕疹和腸胃道疾患的臨床研究。
- 作為暴露於間質性肺疾病的標記物，如外因性過敏性肺泡炎 (亦稱作過敏性肺炎)、侵犯性麴菌病和過敏性支氣管肺麴菌病 (ABPA)。2,4,5
- 作為高度暴露於職業性過敏原的標記物，如可能導致過敏性肺炎的化學物質。6
對於循環血中的特異性 IgG 抗體來說，並沒有一個超出正常含量的常用閾值，因為這些標記物是用於過敏原暴露，未必會與疾病有直接關聯且會依據在地環境和暴露程度而定。7
