SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer for Human Identification

The SeqStudio instrument uses an innovative all-in-one cartridge with POP-1 polymer. Load up your samples and cathode buffer, click in the cartridge, and go—no need for technical experts for setup or maintenance, no need for calibration with each cartridge change, and just a single installation step for capillary array, polymer, and anode buffer. The cartridge is stable for up to six months on the instrument and can process 250 injections (1000 samples).

The system enables easy inventory management using RFID enabled tracking of consumables usage and is compatible with standard 96-well plates or 8-well strip tubes. An interactive touch screen interface simplifies plate, sample, and run setup. Real-time and post-run results can be viewed on the screen to help provide confidence in your experimental data.

The SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer for HID with POP-1 polymer and Data Collection Software v1.2 is optimized for performance with Applied Biosystems STR kits to generate comparable data to 3500 Genetic Analyzers utilizing POP-4 polymer. Data Collection Software v1.2 incorporates a resolution algorithm and a marker-to-marker pull-up reduction that is optimized for the markers in each kit.

SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer for HID is validated according to the Scientific Working Group for DNA Analysis Methods (SWGDAM, December, 2016) across the following kits: GlobalFiler, GlobalFiler IQC, GlobalFiler Express, VeriFiler Plus, VeriFiler Express, Huaxia Platinum, Identifiler Plus, MiniFiler, NGM Select, NGM Detect, YFiler, and YFiler Plus PCR Amplification Kits.

SeqStudio data collection software contains a Security, Audit, and E-Signature (SAE)  module and offers an electronic data chain of custody to help ensure integrity of your  data by defining security settings for each user account, incorporating comprehensive auditing of data objects, and requiring authentication for changes.  All settings are customizable to meet your laboratory requirements.  The SAE application does require a stand-alone computer (laptop or desktop versions are available).

The Applied Biosystems GeneMapper ID-X platform is recognized as the industry standard for forensic data analysis and is a National DNA Index System (NDIS)–approved expert system. This software helps save time and increase workflow efficiency in a forensic laboratory. The SeqStudio HID system requires the use of GeneMapper ID-X software 1.6.
